William Taylor Kaminskas was reported missing by his wife after he did not return to their houseboat from fishing on Lake Don Pedro on July 1, 2001. Deputies were able to find William’s fishing boat along the shoreline of Lucas Bay, east of Fleming Meadows. Inside the boat was William’s two dogs and his wallet but William was not around. An extensive search of the area was conducted by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Coast Guard without success.
