Sherry's last contact was December 20, 1982, when she traveled from her home in Searcy County, Arkansas to San Patricio County, Texas, to sell an inherited piece of property, possibly receiving a large sum of money. Sherry and her husband, William Eastman, had a son in 1981 while stationed in Germany. According to a document dated April 5th, 1982, allegedly signed by Sherry, she gave temporary guardianship of her son to Richard & Valeria George. Sherry and William were divorced sometime in 1982 or 1983. In 1986, a falsified affidavit was signed and recorded in Searcy County, Arkansas, stating that there was a son born to Richard and Valeria George in their home. A delayed birth certificate was issued to the couple for their “son, ” issuing him a new name and social security number. Their "son" took a consumer DNA test that did not link him to the Georges. The siblings he was raised with confirmed that Sherry was his mother and that “she was no more. ” What happened to Sherry remains unknown. ​
