Description

Family last had contact with Mr. Loflin on 07/07/2024 at 1925 hours. On 07/08/2024, family attempted to make contact with Mr. Loflin but there was no answer. Mr. Loflin's residence was checked on 07/08/2024 but he was not located. May have gone to the area near Asheville, NC. On 09/16/2025, the US Forest Service was notified by Yancey County Sheriff officials of items to include prosthetic legs and a wallet with a driver's license for Paul Loflin located near Mt. Mitchell State Park. After various search parties were conducted on different dates, no human remains were found.
