Description

George was the co-pilot of a Douglas C-47 Skytrain (DC-3) with tail number N41748 when it crashed on the southeast slope of Mt. Crillon sometime after 1147 hours when it last gave its position. Wreckage was located from the air on 01-13-1952 but was not visible the next day due to being buried in an avalanche or new storm.
