Circumstances
Donald Lee Reed and two other friends (Carl Buschmann and Vincent Deal) had gone fishing on Lake Tahoe and had not returned. Sheriff's Office personnel conducted search and Rescue operations via marine and air, including the US Coast Guard and private citizens. The vessel, a 12' Sears Gamefisher, was located floating upside down and no persons were located on top of, underneath, nor floating near by the boat. The SAR was terminated with negative sightings near the vessel and surrounding areas.
