On 03/31/2023, skeletal remains were located in a primitive encampment just off the roadway in Douglas County, Georgia. A Georgia driver's license was recovered from the scene that belonged to Mr. Jason Edward Hood. A positive identification could not be made at the time. According to the family, Mr. Hood expressed his desire to live outdoors and deserted his family multiple times. He was never reported missing. He was last known to be living in Douglas County in 2016.
