Earl had reportedly gone on a multi-day fishing trip here in Hawaii, having launched his boat from the Kaulana Boat Ramp on 04-07-2025. He was expected to return two days later on 04-09-2025, however he did not return to shore. On 04-10-2025 his family reported him missing. A multi-agency search was conducted for Mr. Hind and his boat, however with negative results.
