On June 11, 1986, Arthur Daun Pierce was reported missing after he had not been seen at his residence in Hanford, California, for several days. The reporting party stated that Pierce frequently spoke about returning to the eastern United States to establish sewing machine and vacuum cleaner repair and sales businesses. Pierce's family reported that they had spoken with him earlier that month, during which he advised he was planning to travel to Colorado to open a business, possibly in the Grand Junction area. Arthur Pierce has not been seen or heard from since and his whereabouts remain unknown.
