She was last seen by a friend at her home in east Petaluma, California on April 29, 1997. She dropped her family off in Marin County on April 28. She was last seen the next day at her home by friends. She was reported missing when her family returned home and found the house empty. Her vehicle was later found in a residential neighborhood in Napa, California, far from any transit services.
