The aircraft was lost in Lake Champlain during heavy weather conditions and was not recovered. In 2024, experts believe they have found the wreckage of the long-lost jet in Lake Champlain. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating to verify if it is the plane. The NTSB doesn't do salvage operations.
