David A. Kallenberger, left home on March 15, 2016, to travel to Florida. His motorcycle broke down on I-65 a few miles north of the Edinburgh exit. A trooper spotted David alongside the road and was told that he had help coming. When the trooper returned several hours later, the motorcycle was still there along with David's personal belongings but there was no sign of David. The motorcycle was towed to a lot. There has been no sign of David since. He was reported missing on March 28, 2016. According to a tow truck driver, David was seen getting into a maroon Pontiac on the day he disappeared. According to police, the Pontiac was registered to David's wife.
