Vincent Lamouris left his home in Ghent, Belgium on January 25, 2002. He flew JFK Airport in New York City. His passport was used to cross into Canada at Niagara Falls on January 25 and re-entered the United States on January 31. His backpack was found at Prospect Park in Niagara Falls, New York at 4:15 p. m. on February 2, 2002.
