Alvarez was living at his sisters home in Milpitas and he left the residence without telling anyone. He left his cell phone and other personal belongings at the home. His family, friends, and associates have not seen or heard from him since 7/28/2009. Alvarez had been using the family computer to research suicide methods in the weeks prior to going missing.
