Michael Crawford was last heard from via text message on April 22, 2020. He had been camping and recreating in the area of Hidden Creek Trail, which is off Skilak Lake Road between Sterling and Cooper Landing. His backpack, fishing poles and dog were found on the trail by a passing hiker the next day, April 23.
