On November 25, 2008 family members reported Wendall E. (Buddy) Lankford had been missing since September 6, 2008 to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies learned Lankford was last seen in San Jacinto County and referred family members to San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office to file the missing person report. Later that day family members called the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office and filed the missing person report. After the report was completed with San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office (SJCSO# 08-11-13723), family members were referred back to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for follow-up investigation since Wendall’s last known address was in Conroe, Texas.
