Description

Unidentified male checked into Mercy Hospital, Scranton, on November 22 and died on November 30 of natural causes/leukemia. He gave a name of "George Volk" and said he was a bartender from Boston, Massachusetts, and had traveled to Scranton by bus but refused to provide any other information. He did not give an address, SSN, insurance information, or contact information for family or friends. Authorities were unable to track him to any busses coming from the Boston area and were also unable to locate any taxi services that provided the man transportation to the hospital. Repeated inquiry to police, hospital, and other officials in Massachusetts provided no further information.
