Victim was an unidentified homicide victim of 1979, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Determined to be a homicide and probable sexual assault. Believed to be from the Jefferson County, Alabama area, possibly Bessemer AL. Also could have been a hitch hiker or prostitute. A suspect from Bessemer, AL was convicted of killing two other women and discarding their bodies in the same general area, but this individual victim was never identified. Of the two identified victims, both were determined to have been last seen in the Bessemer, AL area. One identified victim was a hitchhiker, not a resident of Bessemer. This victim was never identified despite extensive investigation and media coverage in 1979, leading to belief that she may have also been a hitchhiker or prostitute from another area.
