Description

On 12/03/2024, USBP informed the Yuma County Sheriff's Office of partial skeletal remains located in the remote desert area south of Wellton, Arizona in the Tinajas Altas Mountains. The Yuma County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and recovered the remains and surrounding belongings which have been documented. No identifying documentation was located. The remains were transported to the Yuma County Medical Examiner's Office. All belongings were documented and photographed. A femur sample was also taken pending possible DNA analysis.
