Description

On 6/22/21 at approximately 1400 hours, the Yuma County Sheriff's Office recovered a partial skull located in the desert area south of Wellton, Arizona west of the Tinajas Altas. The skull had been located by a passerby who was hiking in the are and notified the US Border Patrol. The partial skull was recovered and brought to the morgue where photographs were taken. No other belongings or clothing were found near the remains. Samples were taken pending possible DNA analysis.
