Description

On 4/23/22 at approximately 0730 hours, Deputies with the Yuma County Sheriff's Office located skeletal remains in the remote desert area southeast of Dateland, Arizona, west of Mohawk Pass. Remains were initially located by Range Wardens patrolling the Barry Goldwater Range. Remains recovered consisted of a skull with mandible, multiple ribs, a partial pelvis and various other bones. The remains were recovered and brought to the Medical Examiner's Office. Rib samples were retained pending possible DNA analysis.
