Description

On 8/5/22 at approximately 200 hours, the Yuma County Sheriff's Office contacted the Medical Examiner's Office in reference to skeletal remains located in the desert area west of the Gila Mountains southeast of Yuma, Arizona. The remains consisted of a femur, mandible, a skull and vertebrae. The remains were recovered and transported to the Medical Examiner's Office where a femur sample was retained pending possible DNA analysis. The Yuma County Medical Examiner's office received information from Investigator Hemstreet regarding this case. The remains were located in the general area where a missing persons case had been reported. The possible identity of the missing person has been entered into NAMUS (MP76597). Radiographs of the skull and mandible were taken as well. Case pending possible DNA analysis.
