Description

On 11/25/22 at approximately 1335 hours, the Yuma County Sheriff's Office contacted the Medical Examiner's Office in reference to skeletal remains located near the Levee Road and County 18th Street. The remains were initially located by hikers in the area who contacted the US Border Patrol. The remains consisted of human skull, multiple limb bones, and other bones and bone fragments. Some property and multiple bones were located, recovered and transported to the Yuma County Medical Examiner's Office. Mandible and teeth samples were retained pending possible DNA analysis.
