Description

On 6/3/2023 the Yuma Police Department notified the Yuma County Medical Examiner's Office of skeletal remains located south of Yuma, Arizona, west of Highway 195. The remains were initially located by US Border Patrol Agents tracking a group of unidentified immigrants in the area. The remains consisted of a skull and pieces of the cervical spine. The skull measured approximately 19cm in circumference. No clothing or belongings were located on or around the remains. The remains were recovered and brought to the Medical Examiner's Office where skull and teeth samples were retained pending possible DNA analysis.
