Description

On 09/18/1997, an employee of a grading company noticed a vehicle parked in the open desert. She had seen the same vehicle there the previous day. Upon checking it, she found the decedent in a state of moderate decomposition with partial mummification, seated in the driver’s seat. A. 32-caliber semi-automatic handgun was in his right hand. Law enforcement was notified and responded to the scene. The decedent had a gunshot wound under the chin, with no exit wound. Small-caliber bullet fragments were later recovered during the postmortem examination. His death was ruled a suicide.
