Description

This call originally was received on 5/07/23 at 1849 hours. Body had been found by a person walking on the river trail and spotting a stuffed animal. When this party went down to get the stuffed animal, they could make out the remains of human body and immediately called 911. The body could barely be seen from the top of the embankment. Body about 10-15 yards from top and about 20-30 yards west of the concrete walking trail. Once all of the brush was removed, body appeared smaller in stature with feet facing northeast and head southwest. Decedent wearing some type of short-sleeve shirt. Fingers all present and shriveled/mummified. No jewelry noted except for a necklace with a saint medallion. No obvious injuries. Because of all the brush covering the body, it appears as if someone sought to reveal presence. Estimated time since death 3-6 months.
