A fisherman cutting through a field in the 1200 block of Oakland Boulevard, just north of Interstate 30, found the decedent's skeletal remains under a tree in a brushy ravine. A barrel was found nearby and a clothesline-like cord with a noose dangled from a tree. The acre of field is not entirely secluded but surrounded by a neighborhood, it is vacant enough to be off the beaten path. A review of all Fort Worth missing persons cases at the time yielded no clues to the man's identity, nor did a check with the Missing Persons Clearing House. No broken bones.
