Description

The partially decomposed body of an unidentified man was found in the Mississippi River approximately 300 yards north of the I-494 bridge on April 5, 1987. The body was originally recovered near the Armour Meat Packing Complex in South St. Paul (the Armour plant no longer exists and has been replaced by local businesses). There was a bible track from Spiritual Life Ministries found in the back pocket of his jeans. His estimated age is 20-35, with dental records indicating the decedent may be upwards of 40 years old. The decedent is likely Caucasian or a light-skinned African-American. The body was in the water for a minimum of 2 weeks to as long as 6 months.
