Description

On Sunday, January 09, 2011, the body of an unidentified male washed up on the rocks at Surfside Jetty Park. The previous day (Saturday, December 31, 2010), a black 12 foot aluminum boat with gold lettering was located floating unoccupied in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, just north of the Surfside Beach Bridge, and the Freeport Police Department took custody of the vessel. The small boat had a trolling motor with a stowaway battery, a bait casting net, and one rod and reel. No hull numbers were located on the watercraft and the serial number appeared to have been scratched off. The only identifying marks on the vessel were the words "BLACK SALT" and "SNOAKER POKER".
