Description

On 02/09/2001 two hikers discovered skeletal remains in Carrizo Wash in Anza Borrego Desert State Park in Julian. Clothing items were located near the decedent and a forensic anthropology examination determined the decedent was an adult male, approximately 25-45 years old, possibly of White or Hispanic ancestry. The postmortem interval was estimated to be approximately 5-10 months. Skeletal remains and clothing articles of an apparent adult male were discovered by two hikers while they were exploring around their campsite in a dry wash area along Carrizo Wash in Anza Borrego Desert State Park on 2/9/01.
