On the above date, an adult male, left femur bone was located along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. The femur bone was waterlogged, in excellent condition and presents with some minor postmortem abrasion on the medial and lateral condyles. In addition, the femur did not retain the expected surface "polish" or patina often seen on bone experiencing significant transport in water. The femur retained no odor of decomposition and was devoid of all soft tissue.
