Description

The decedent is an adult Hispanic male found unresponsive in a grocery store parking lot near Slauson Ave and Western Ave in Los Angeles suffering from head and chest trauma. On 12/02/2017 at 1720 hours the decedent was brought into the emergency department of California Hospital Medical Center via ambulance. It is unknown if the decedent was assaulted or fell. Upon admission he was noted to have a laceration to the back of his head, multiple facial injuries and bruising to his upper chest. A CT scan revealed a large subdural hematoma and he underwent an emergent left craniectomy. His health failed to improve and he was declared brain dead on 12/04/2017 at 1408 hours.
